Securing the Future of Victoria’s Floodplains

The Victorian Murray Floodplain Restoration Project (VMFRP) is a major environmental initiative focused on returning water to nine ecologically significant floodplain sites along the Murray River. These locations are vital for supporting biodiversity, preserving cultural heritage, and improving the long-term ecological health of the river system. With so many stakeholders involved, effective environmental communications were essential from the outset. By clearly articulating the goals of the project, we helped bring together government and land management agencies with a shared vision of restoring life to these critical landscapes. The VMFRP is not just about managing water; it is about reviving river country, protecting native species, and securing the natural and cultural value of this region for future generations.

Services Provided

Environmental communications were central to building awareness, trust, and understanding around VMFRP’s purpose and potential. From day one, we worked closely with all partners to shape a brand that could unify multiple organisations while speaking clearly and consistently to the broader community. The brand needed to convey both the technical importance and emotional impact of the work being done. Through branding and web development, we created a cohesive identity that helps explain why this restoration matters and how it will benefit people and nature alike. The result is a compelling platform that supports stakeholder engagement, encourages public interest, and communicates the long-term value of the project for the environment and local communities
